Freelance Work

At the present time, I am accepting freelance work on a case-by-case basis. I’d be happy to answer any questions you have. I am chiefly interested in designing logos and creating illustrations for small businesses, publications (children’s books, magazines, or graphic novels), and musicians. However, I am open to considering most projects, so please contact me if you think my style might be a good fit.

Woody Allen commented, “Eighty percent of success is showing up.” While I don’t agree with his math, the quote makes a valid point. There are thousands of designers out there, and chances are good that you’ve run into a few flakes. Many designers will disappear halfway through the job. I will put your project first and see it through.

Work Rates by Type

  • Logo (B&W and/or Color): $200-$1500 (Example: Nude Barre stockings) You can get a cheaper logo from a logo mill (who will re-sell it), but here is an article on why you shouldn't.
  • Website: Websites can run from $500 to $5000. Each one is very different, so please contact me to discuss your project. Here is a good article on what to expect. (Example: Naturechem, Inc.)
  • Caricatures/Illustrations (B&W): $20-$500 – The price varies greatly depending on the project. Click here to let my site calculate your price.
  • Caricatures/Illustrations (Full color): $30-$1000 (Example: Oslo family caricatures.) Here is a good article, written by an artist, on do’s and don’ts when commissioning an illustrator.
  • Photo manipulation/correction: $45 per hour

Please note that actual quotes may be higher or lower depending on the project, please treat this list as a guide only. These rates are not set in stone. All price quotes include at least two rounds of changes and corrections. Any additional changes after the second round will be billed at my hourly rate. For new clients, payment terms are 100% up front for jobs less than $200, and 50% up front, 50% after completion for orders over $200. Repeat clients that I know and trust have more flexible payment terms. I’m sorry, but this policy is non-negotiable.

Contact me for a price quote; be sure to include as many details as you can about the project.
